Introduction

I personalize each and every wedding that I officiate. Your wishes are important because your wedding day only happens once and I want it to be everything you hope for. I have many resources to refer to for special requests and fun ceremony ideas. I have helped plan many weddings and decorate for weddings, but nothing is more rewarding and exciting than officiating a wedding! I love meeting the bride and groom and working with them to have a ceremony that fulfills all of their wishes.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I love people and I love watching them experience the joy that weddings bring. I have been officiating weddings for over 9 years and it never gets old! I enjoy getting to know my clients and meeting their families and friends. Every wedding is a new and exciting experience for me and I love every minute.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We usually start with a consultation so you can interview me and ask all the questions you have about how the process works. If you wish to hire me, I have a short contract for you to sign and a deposit is required so I can "save the date" for your wedding. I will also send a sample script for your review along with some additional helpful wedding ideas and then we personalize your wedding vows according to your wishes. I will do a rehearsal with you and your wedding party if you wish and then I usually arrive about one hour early on the big day to get set up and answer any last minutes questions. I take care of filing the required paperwork after it is signed by all parties.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have officiated over 100 weddings since I began in 2014. Each wedding is a learning experience and I keep a journal of all of the new things I have learned and ideas for new things I need to read up on. The internet is a great resource and there are many sources available to me as an ordained minister. I will continue to learn and grow with each wedding.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I remember how hard it was to find a non-denominational minister years ago to officiate our wedding ceremony. My husband-to-be was raised Catholic and I was raised non-denominational. I did not want to go through the requirements to have our wedding in the Catholic Church and my fiancé was ok with that, but we still wanted someone of Christian faith to perform our ceremony. It was not easy to find someone to fit that bill. I have also known many others who have had the same difficulty. I have always enjoyed weddings and I could not think of a better job than being a non-denominational wedding officiant. It is my way of doing something to help others.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have officiated weddings from as small as four people (bride & groom and two witnesses) to about 300 people. No wedding is too large or too small!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for an officiant who has a current letter of good standing and make sure they have their ordination credentials. Also, make sure you find someone you feel comfortable talking to and one who has your best interests at heart.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
This is something I do because I love weddings so much! It is easy to become ordained, but it is a learning process and it takes a good listener and organized officiant to be able to put together a great ceremony. It is important to ask for references or check reviews. Also, try and write down all of your questions before you have your consultation such as: Will the officiant help with rehearsal? Do we need to have a rehearsal? What is the process that the officiant will use to get the information to the client?
