What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My goal is to make your wedding day joyful and stress free. I ONLY provide DAY OF COORDINATION. I give a 10% discount to Military.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We meet to discuss all of the details of the ceremony and reception. I mean every detail. Leave nothing to chance. I will meet with all of the professionals the day of the cermony to ensure we are all in snyc with your plans. I prefer that family, friends and wedding party do not participate in the set up. This is a day for all of you to enjoy and for the focus and attention is on you.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a bachelors degree in psychology and a masters in social work. I have post graduate training in individual and couples therapy. Beyond that, I just wing it.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was hired to officiate a wedding, and the bride asked me if I could do Day of Coordination as well. I am definately a leader and can manage a lot of tasks. I was happy to do it, and had a blast. From there I offered it to all of my officiant clients. However, I am happy to do without the officiant piece.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with: young, old, LGBTQ, Christian, Jewish, Africian American, Irish, recovering Catholics, Motorcyle-lovin' gun totin' red-blooded Americans, lovers of literature, lovers of Halloween, parents, military, football fans and cowboys. Remarried, already married, still married, and "let's pretend we're gettin' married."

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

This is a challenge because they are all beautiful and unique. I can assure you that if there is something you need, I probably have it. I have hemmed grooms pants, fixed unruly bra straps for Bride's Maids. Managed to get keys out of the locked caterer's truck. Arranged for a subsitute cake when the original one was destroyed do to a care accident. Found it and had it delivered within in a hour. The bride had no idea I had it fixed until after the ceremony. I have washed dishes, served food, MC'd the important moments of the reception. I always am the last to leave because I clean it all up.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

No matter how big or small have someone to run interference for all the guests that think they should see you before the ceremony. Have someone to manage all of the details so you, your family and wedding party can focus their attention where it belongs on the two of you. You wedding day will feel like a blur and filled with stressed. People asking you to make a million decisions. Having someone to manage that is the best gift you can give yourself.

What does your price include? Do you offer any discounts? How many people will participate in managing the event? What have you done when something didn't go as planned? Are you prepared to manage the unexpected?
