Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Base pricing starts at $150, with services such as providing a witness or assisting in writing vows adding costs to compensate time. I try to keep pricing affordable as I believe access to marriage services should be for everyone!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I'll contact you first with my availability and tailor your ceremony to your desires and preferences. It's your wedding day, after all! It should be what you imagined, and I like to help facilitate that as much as I can.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been ordained for over a decade now and performed multiple ceremonies ranging from just document signings to formal ceremonies with attendance in the hundreds. I try to customize each ceremony to each couple, and work a bit of humor in to ease the wedding day nerves.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started by officiating the wedding of a good friend and grew from doing so for other friends into the business it is today!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with all sorts, from small & quick elopements to more formalized and traditional ceremonies. I've performed weddings for all sorts of folks and love helping to be a part of everyone's big day.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I was lucky enough to officiate my sister's wedding, and that service in particular meant a great deal to me personally.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would make sure that the person you hire, whether it's me or someone else, cares. I know that may seem silly sounding, but I think weddings are so special and having someone who's invested in getting to know you and your story is important!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
You should consider what you really want from an officiant, and also what your ideal ceremony is. It's your big day, and it should ultimately be the kind of service that brings good and long lasting memories.
