What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My rate is $105 an hour for counseling. My rate for weddings is $375. Some travel to see me, however I will travel to make it more convenient for my clients. If I drive beyond 15 miles I receive $0.50 per mile.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I will typically first speak on the phone to get an idea whether it would be a good match. I then will meet at a neutral place like a Starbucks or a Barnes & Noble. For premarital counseling I usually meet in our home.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

My degree is in theology but I also have 540 hours of clinical pastoral education(CPE), 50 hours of training for the Lifeskills program, and postgraduate classes pertaining to pastoring and counseling.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I have been a pastor since 1984 and I have special training as a police and a hospital chaplain and I have been Regional Director of Lifeskills International and have facilitated several of the seven-month highly successful program.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with single adults, married adults, teenagers, police departments, hospital patients and their families, military personnel. I think there are few issues I have not dealt with over the last 35 years.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am glad to have started my own LLC and have started doing counseling, premarital counseling, family counseling, private individual counseling.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Determine that you will just live positively for one day. Anyone can make it through one day and I can help you with tools to do that.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Are you certain you're committed to change? Can you take one small step at a time?
