Introduction

After 20 years as a certified wedding planner, and owning my own wedding chapel, I am now a wedding officiant as well! Contact me to plan your wedding ceremony to your wishes! I will gladly officiate traditional as well as LGTBQ weddings. Discount available for Military personnel, veterans, and couples living in the Beth-Center School District. I have had all doses of the Covid and flu vaccine plus all boosters, and follow all current recommendations to keep those around me safe. NOTE: As of June 1st 2024, I may not commit to weddings with rehearsals. The distance from my residence to your wedding venue will be the determining factor. However, I can advise you with planning your rehearsal .

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My lowest price is for a simple wedding within 20 miles of my home. Price does increase with distance and rehearsal if rehearsal requires a different day than the wedding. Discounts for Military personnel and Veterans.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to get to know the couple through initial phone conversation. I listen to what their wishes and expectations are for the wedding ceremony. Then provide suggestions that they , of course, may embrace or reject.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Certified wedding planner for 20 years. Ordained to perform weddings in June 2020. If your wedding is going to take place in Pennsylvania, you may choose a self-uniting marriage license or standard. PA has no registry for state-approved wedding officiants. I am officially approved as an officiant ( minister) in Ohio and West Virginia. You can verify this on these state's websites. Maryland has no state- approval process, but online ordinations are unquestionably approved by that state.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always loved weddings! As my actual career was in nursing, wedding planning was such a happy diversion. I studied and became a Certified Wedding Planner approximately 20 years ago. I purchased my historic country chapel that was the church I grew up in, after declining population made it impossible to continue as a Methodist church. We had many weddings in the chapel from 2012-2018, when I sold it and it's now a fabulous home. Now I'm pleased to officiate weddings at many different venues. I named my officiant service "Officiant de Mariage" because my husband and I have seen so many beautiful weddings at outside venues in Paris. Very romantic!!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Traditional, multi- racial, bilingual, LBGTQ, young, older, formal and informal. Intimate ceremonies with only the bride and groom, up to large wedding parties and 150 guests.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I am fond of all of the weddings that I have been honored to assist with, plan and officiate.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When you first speak with the officiant, you should feel comfortable with her/him and have a sense that your wedding ceremony is personal to the officiant, not just "another wedding, another day"!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Do you have definite details that you want in your wedding ceremony? Wording of vows, sand or unity candle? Do you just need some suggestions?
