Introduction

Hi my name is Alex and I am eager to work on your project whether it is repairing a broken item or fabricating something brand new for you. I don't like to cut corners and I always try to do repairs and fabrication the best way possible so it doesn't create problems for you in the future. I mainly deal in small projects, mobile welding repairs and in shop projects. I am an L.A. City licensed structural welder in stick and flux core and can also mig weld. I am currently working on getting a TIG set up and adding blacksmithing to my skill set.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I have a minimum fee for most mobile repairs. Anything bigger I charge hourly but I will always let the customer know that it will cost more.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First I get pictures of the job then if I need to I come out and take a look at no cost especially for bigger jobs. If it's a bigger job and I need specific items to do the repairs I let the customer know and we schedule a date for the repairs.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I went to welding school and have always been interested in metal work. I found out about Thumbtack from a Facebook page and decided to try it out.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with all types of customers and I try to always be honest with them about the repairs, costs and what needs to be done to eliminate future problems if possible.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I did a hinge repair at a shopping center in Manhattan beach. I had to replace three big hinges and after the gate swung better than it did before.
