What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We schedule an initial (free) consultation to discuss everything related to the case.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Prior to becoming an attorney, while in law school, I worked for a criminal defense attorney who represented a lot of indigent (people who cannot afford attorneys) clients. Through that work, I learned a great deal about criminal defense before even becoming an attorney. As part of my continuing legal education, I try to take courses that increase my knowledge in my favorite field of practice - criminal defense.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

When I worked during law school for a criminal defense attorney, it opened my eyes to our justice system and how vitally important defense attorneys are to that system. I knew from that summer forward that I wanted to practice criminal defense.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have represented people, male and female, of all different ages, races, religions, national origins, and income levels.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently was able to secure a dismissal of a felony drug charge against a client. The case was pending when I took it over, and the dismissal came approximately one month after I began representation. Of course, this isn't going to happen in every single case, but that case was a great case to work on and ended up in a very good disposition for my client.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Trust your gut.

Do you have experience handling cases like mine? Do you have experience in the court in which my case is pending? Are you passionate about what you do?
