Introduction

It has been incredibly satisfying to hear time and again how clean the windows are, how "it's been so long since we had this done," and how quickly I was able to get the job finished. I love the variety in the jobs I do. Each house has its own unique character and personality. I believe that comes out most with bright and shining windows. Part of the window cleaning is clear panes, but also clean sills, trim, curtains, and blinds. I also love the customers. Almost as varied and interesting as their houses.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

One of the discounts we offer at Squeaky Clean is a 15% referral rebate. If you find just one new customer for us, we will take 15% off your next cleaning!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We like to make sure we’ve inspected every job myself; we'll come out and analyze the windows and offer a quote onsite. If agreed, we can schedule the cleaning, usually between a few days to two weeks out.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

When I was still in high school, I was introduced to an older gentleman who had paid his way through college cleaning windows. He was willing to take me out one day and "show me the ropes" of window cleaning and shortly after that I bought my first bucket, squeegee, and ladder. I have been cleaning ever since.

What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common type of job that we do is residential homes - one to two stories. We have the equipment to clean the windows on any size house though.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I am often asked if I have a "per window" rate. While I do use some standardized methods for quoting, I take into account a number of factors - including number of panes, height of the window, ability to access window, and level of dirtiness.
