What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our pricing system is based on taking product and onsite measurements. Providing accurate labor costs for completing projects within the timeframe discussed with the client. Our FEE of $185 is for OUT OF AREA RESIDENTS. This covers the costs of taking onsite measurements, providing detailed estimates, and deposits for preorders.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We qualify each customer by getting to know them and what concerns they have in regards to repairing one or multiple items around their home. Our job requires us to measure for replacement of window units, front entryway doors, screens and slider doors, in efforts for our team to provide quality service and products to our clients.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We have certified apprenticeship training, finish carpentry skills, and job site safety training to help us give you a professionally finished product and service.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Our experience, primarily, was in installing doors, servicing screens and storm windows, however with today's insulated units we can offer replacement units when the existing window is still in good working order.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

During our busy season, there was a mom of young children with pets, and her slider door glass shattered due to an expanding glass window. Her home is very young, maybe five years old, and she did not expect a thing like this to happen so soon in her purchase, therefore rather than replace the entire sliding door system, we saved her hundreds by only replacing the window that was broken, and Renue Glass & Screen Repair ordered, installed, and completed the task within a few days.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Take a look at pictures, and ask questions about the project, talk about problems that may have occurred, and even solutions to resolve discrepancies. This should give you better insight on who does the work for you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

If it is possible, the customer should take approximate measurements and photos of the product(s) being repaired or replaced. This gives the best detail when talking to a potential contractor because they can get a better visual of what you see. Customers should also ask to see photos of installations, detailed photos, and even ask what problems the professional ran into while working on similar projects to get a clear understanding of what maybe involved in the process.
