Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I offer both flat fee and hourly rate engagements, depending on the nature and scope of the project. Estate plans and entity formations are typically handled on a flat fee basis, with pricing tailored to the complexity involved. I also offer flat rate packages for essential business agreements such as NDAs, Independent Contractor Agreements, Employment Agreements, and industry-specific contracts like influencer agreements, service agreements, and licensing terms. For businesses in need of consistent legal support, I provide outside general counsel services at a predictable monthly flat rate—ideal for companies not quite ready to hire in-house counsel. Hourly engagements are available for clients seeking guidance on time-sensitive or one-off legal issues.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I start with an initial consultation to understand your goals, concerns, and the broader context of your legal needs. After that, I provide a detailed intake form so I can tailor my advice and documents to your unique situation. From there, we map out a clear strategy and timeline for deliverables. I remain accessible throughout the engagement and encourage open communication—clients can reach out with questions, clarifications, or changes, and I pride myself on being responsive and thoughtful in every interaction.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I earned my BA from the University of Southern California and my JD from UCLA School of Law, where I specialized in business law. I actively stay current on changes in the legal landscape by attending industry conferences, CLEs, and advanced estate planning and corporate governance trainings. I also attend litigation-focused estate planning events to understand how planning can break down in court—so I can structure plans that are proactive and built to withstand future challenges. My goal is to give clients peace of mind by minimizing stress for their loved ones.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I’ve practiced corporate law for over 16 years, beginning my career at a major international law firm. Over time, I launched my own practice to offer more personal, high-impact legal support to individuals and growing businesses. As I expanded into financial advising, I saw firsthand how many families and entrepreneurs lacked a cohesive plan for protecting their wealth, their business, and their legacy. I started LSK Legal to bring legal strategy, business insight, and thoughtful planning under one roof.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with individuals, families, and businesses ranging from early-stage startups to multi-generational family enterprises. My clients come from all walks of life but share a common goal: to protect what they’ve built and plan wisely for the future.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I'm currently working on a complex estate plan for a client navigating both potential estate tax exposure and family dynamics that require nuanced trust design. The client wants to retain control over how and when future generations access wealth, while also managing a delicate relationship with their spouse. This project is ongoing and involves a layered strategy incorporating trusts, entity structuring, and legacy protections. It's a perfect example of how estate planning is both legal and deeply personal.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look beyond credentials and pricing—ask yourself if the attorney takes the time to understand who you are as a person. Law is more than rules and documents; it’s about protecting your story, your values, and your future. A good lawyer brings both technical skill and empathy. Make sure you feel heard, not just helped. And remember, you often get what you pay for—the lowest price isn’t always the best value when it comes to decisions that impact your family or your business long-term.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Before your initial meeting, think about what matters most to you: What are your long-term goals? Are you concerned about protecting your family, minimizing taxes, growing a business, or ensuring privacy? Also consider any personal dynamics that could affect the planning—whether it's blended families, business partners, or special needs dependents. Being clear on your priorities and the outcomes you want will help your attorney craft a plan that truly fits.
