Introduction

I love helping dogs of all breeds and ages become best friends and family members they can be...I have helped LOTS of dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes over the years, often with issues other trainers couldn’t solve, and I am happy to help you next! You will get a positive fun attitude, a clear and fair communication and structure to succeed, 25+ years of experience and top dog training in the world(this is not a brag, it's one of our real achievements:) ! Our graduate students get an AKC Certification of Puppy Star, Canine Good Citizen(CGC), or FIT dog. I compete in world events and represent USA on our team with my Belgian Malinois Bravo. He is my constant shadow and best friend, and spends his days off training on the couch with our 2 other dogs, they are a part of our family, just like your dog is a part of yours😊. We offer all kinds of programs and packages with private lessons, training boarding camps, day camps and combinations of what suits best into your life... No matter what program we will choose together for your dog and you, I will make sure you end up with a well-trained dog for years ahead! I never stop learning and bettering my skills, because dog training is my passion. Over the years, I have trained and learned from top trainers in USA and Europe. I am a CCAS (Certified Canine Athlete Specialist). Being an expert in Canine Fitness, lets me successfully combine the physical and mental wellness with our training programs. This often takes obedience and behavior problem solving training to a whole other level by enhancing confidence, helping the dogs learn how to relax and overcome fears while engaging their bodies and minds and learning to avoid injuries when running and playing. The most rewarding part of the job is watching the transformation of my four legged students from unruly to well behaved loved family members and best friends for years to come.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Whether you need help raising your puppy, or teaching your dog manners, or solving your dog's behavioral issues, the successful outcome is an investment into your dog's well being and your relationship for many years to come. Your dog is worth it and so is your peace of mind! With dog training, just like most everything, you can try to save money, do the research and try to DIY, or you can get professional guidance, invest some time and learn how to DIY then train your dog, or you can hire an experienced professional to get it done. We are not the cheapest, nor are we the most expensive in the area. You get great value because you will pay for and get the results you are looking for. Our prices just like our training programs are not cookie cutter, and neither is your dog! Our one-on-one lessons start at $180 for obedience and fitness, and our training camps start at $2200 for quick fixes or tune ups and go up to $4800 with a puppy program of $3200 and an obedience with minor behavioral corrections of $3800. Advanced obedience off leash or aggression is $4800

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
First, we will chat on the phone or via email about your dog, your home set-up, and what goals you are looking to accomplish. Then we schedule a meeting for a free evaluation and a training plan of what is the best solution for you and your dog. (This depends on your dog's age, temperament, behavioral issues, your goals and skills as well as the amount of time and involvement you are willing to invest into training). During this meeting, you have an option(your choice:) to also do a lesson at a discounted price of $100. Sometimes, a lesson and a follow-up is all you need to take the matter into your own hands and make the issue disappear. You can choose to proceed with more lessons, or sign your pup for one of our boarding training camps. (In this case the $100 goes towards the camp tuition). If we proceed with the training lesson plan, then we will meet usually once or twice weekly, work, you will get homework to practice at home, then come back for the next lesson, we check on your and your pup's progress and work on the next step. If we decide on one of our training camps (can be boarding or daytime), your dog will be learning clear rules, communication, play, exercise, and training with me daily. I stay in touch by sending pictures and short update videos (which also help us as mini lessons for you during the process:) Once the dog is trained, then I will show you what we learned and teach you how to apply it. I provide lifetime support for my students and always welcome them here for boarding tune-ups.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My obsession with dogs made me sponge and soak anything and everything I could come across. Including AKC Conformation, Competitive Obedience and Agility. I've been involved in IGP (Schutzhund) since 1995. It is a highly demanding complex and competitive working dog sport involving 3 disciplines at once - Tracking, Obedience and Protection. All being judged on the relationship of the handler and the dog team. It requires precise performance on the dog's part in high state of arousal while being in total control of the handler. This sport brings out the best in the dogs and challenges the handlers to always evolve as trainers. It is addictive and fun!!! I have attended lots of workshops and trained with most succesful top world dog trainers and champions in USA and Europe

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Since I am 5, I am obsessed with dogs and dog training, so I haven't really started, I sort of always was😊. I am fortunate to be able to make my passion my career.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Over the years I have literally worked with dogs of all ages, starting with baby puppies, adolescents, adult dogs, and older dogs. Rescue dogs and pure bred show dogs. I compete in IGP which is tracking, obedience and protection, and I have doubled in AKC conformation, obedience, agility and dock diving. I have helped lots of couples, singles and families with kids of all ages.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Hard to pick, every dog is special and a project I am fond of 😊

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Just like in any industry, all dog trainers are not created equal. Look for someone who is passionate and takes pride in their work as well as has the qualifications to get the job done right. Don't be fooled by all positive rewards cookies and rainbow promises. Dogs are intelligent and need clear structure (and appropriate rewards:). Make sure the training place is safe and secure, when dogs are learning, they often do things different than usual. Make sure you and the trainer are on the same page and you are comfortable with the methods and training tools and discuss your goals and expectations ahead of time and be honest about the issues you are having. Be prepared to spend on quality professional help, it may save you thousands later and will last years.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Think about what your goals are and what you are trying to accomplish (not just the current issues your dog is having). Figure out how much time and work you are able to invest and if you are, will your whole household be onboard during the process, or is it better to send a dog for professional training Ask how many dogs at a time will be at the facility, and who else is going to be working with your dog and taking care of the dog while boarded. Of course ask about the trainer's experience and also ask about their accomplishments, don't be afraid to ask for referrals. We are dog people, and would definitely do the same!
