What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I offer fair pricing for exceptional, professional service. Pricing will be discussed with client prior to service. Number of pets needing care, type of care and travel time to client will be considered prior to service quote.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My desire is to provide excellent service that exceeds my clients expectations. Prior to service, I discuss client needs over the phone and then set up a "meet and greet." At this time we will have the opportunity to meet in person to see if we are a good match. Many of my clients become long term, happy, repeat customers. My goal is that will happen for you as well.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am an educator who loves working with pets and people. While I have been a kindergarten teacher for many years, I have also been watching and caring for client's pets. I am now providing pet care full time and love it! I'd love to meet and service you.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started watching pets of my kindergarten students. Additionally I watched pets for family and friends and my business grew. I have wonderful, loyal clients who have shared my name with others.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with many types of customers, many who are referrals from existing clients. Many of my clients are mature, retired customers looking for excellent service for their senior furry companions. I look forward to meeting and servicing you.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I have cared for pets for a simple drop in visit, one day a week to hosting a dog in my home for several weeks. One of my favorite furry clients stayed in my home for over 5 weeks while his mom and dad traveled out of the country. This pup became such a part of my family that I am still called "Mom Karen". Another favorite furry client is a pup whose elderly mom is struggling with health issues. My daily visits to the client's home allows the pup to stay with her mom while she recovers. These clients have become dear friends.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for a provider whom you trust, has experience, and who loves this type of work. The provider should have background checks and should be professional and reliable. Does your pet seem to warm up quickly to this provider? How does your pet act when you pick him or her up or when you come home? Your pet should be part of your provider decision.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What type of services am I looking for? What is most important to me regarding my pet's care? How will my provider communicate with me regarding my pet? Do I feel comfortable with this provider in my home? Always check references. Keep looking until you find a provider who best meets your needs.
