Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is straightforward and posted in my About Me section.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I strive for a quick response, which I follow up with a call if I do not receive a text message back. I follow customer’s lead on what needs to be done and do my best to fit it in my schedule. Before coming out, I usually send an sms to provide my ETA, which allows customers know that I am on my way.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a degree in Automotive repair which taught me how to wrench and get my hands dirty. Everything else I learned throughout my years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I was laid off from a corporate job that I actually hated. Now I get to meet people from all walks of life which I really enjoy.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Primarily homeowners, but I am equally comfortable working in a commercial facility as well.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Customer contacted me to install a window A/C unit; however the window itself was fixed and did not have a traditional sliding pane. To accommodate the installation, I cut parts of the existing frame, framed-in a new opening and installed the unit. After the installation, I used plywood and window caulk on both sides to seal everything up. The customer ended up loving the results and appreciated my resourcefulness since many other pros passed on this job due to its complexity. We had to make a few trips to Menards to buy the A/C unit and get additional supplies, so overall the project took 5.5 hours.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for somebody is responsible, has good reviews and willing to work on your schedule.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
It’s always very helpful to know the scope of the project, if a Pro would need to shop for any supplies, bring a ladder, or do anything outside of a simple task like modify a part to make it fit. Also, working with New vs. Used appliances or parts is different, so please be upfront about this.
