What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When it comes to our pricing, we believe in transparency and flexibility to cater to our clients' needs and desires. When evaluating a project or job, we take various factors into account to determine the cost. First and foremost, we engage in detailed discussions with our clients about the finish they desire. Whether they prefer a temporary solution or something perfect, these details impact the final price.
Additionally, we offer two options for material acquisition. The first option is for us to source the necessary materials to streamline the work process. With our experience, we can select the appropriate materials for the project, ensuring quality and efficiency in the process. The second option is for the client to purchase materials independently and only pay for the labor. This gives clients the freedom to choose materials, allowing them to actively participate in the creative process.
Regarding design and color, especially in projects involving kitchens, floors, and tiles, we recognize the importance of personal preference. While we provide options and suggestions, we always encourage our clients to choose the design that resonates with them the most. We believe that a space reflecting the client's tastes and style is fundamental to their long-term satisfaction.
We understand that each project is unique, and therefore, each estimate is tailored accordingly. We strive to offer fair and competitive prices that reflect the quality of our work and the dedication we put into every task. In summary, our approach is rooted in open communication, flexibility, and collaboration to ensure our clients are thoroughly satisfied with the final outcome and the value they receive for their investment.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our typical process for working with a new client is based on open communication and a clear understanding of their needs. First and foremost, it's crucial to grasp the problem the client wants to solve or the project they aim to undertake. In some cases, we can start right away, but for larger projects, it's essential to meet in person to examine the project in detail. During this meeting, we inquire about the client's ideas and what they would like to achieve.
Once we fully understand the client's problem or ideas, we discuss how we will proceed. This includes setting the working days, and if there are specific days we cannot work due to personal reasons, we discuss it and come to a mutual agreement. We talk about the type of finish they desire, and most importantly, we discuss the price and the purchase of materials. We assess whether I will be responsible for acquiring the necessary materials for the project or if the client would prefer to handle that part.
In summary, our process involves a deep understanding of the client's problem or project, followed by detailed discussions about work planning, working days, the desired finish, and agreements on pricing and material procurement. Transparency and clarity in communication are paramount throughout the process to ensure customer satisfaction.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Currently, we don't have specific formal education in home improvement, but we have several years of hands-on experience in both New York City and New Jersey. We've worked on projects in large buildings as well as residential homes. Each team member brings expertise in various areas such as plumbing, electricity, framing, and more. Furthermore, we make an effort to stay updated every year regarding state guidelines and codes. We also ensure we use the appropriate tools for the job at hand. Our experience and dedication enable us to provide quality services to our clients.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started this type of work on a personal level. Since I arrived in this country in 2000, I had various jobs over the years. However, it was when I began assisting in construction that I realized this job demands attention to every detail. Every stumbling block I encountered helped me improve, teaching me not only specific skills like plumbing, carpentry, electricity, flooring installation, tile setting, state codes, and regulations but also instilled in me a meticulous approach. This has allowed me to deliver clean work and strive to avoid errors. Each experience has contributed to my growth in this field.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently, I completed a project that I really liked: the complete remodeling of an apartment. The work involved a total interior demolition. Initially, it was estimated to take 3 months to complete the project. However, fortunately, we managed to finish it in 2 and a half months. My client was thrilled with the speed, as we finished two weeks ahead of schedule. To acknowledge the effort and swiftness of my workers, I congratulated and rewarded them for their hard work on the project. It was a rewarding experience to see how the team was able to exceed expectations and deliver excellent work in record time.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice for a client looking to hire a provider in my field of work would be the following:
First and foremost, if you are recommended a contractor but you're not entirely convinced, I advise you to request to see past projects. This will help you evaluate their quality of work and make an informed decision.
When hiring a service, I recommend being honest at all times and expressing your opinions, concerns, and preferences. As a client, you are paying for a service and have the right to ensure that everything is done the way you want it. If you notice something wrong or something that doesn't seem appropriate, don't hesitate to communicate it to the contractor and explain how you want the job to be done. The more specific you are about your expectations, the better we can understand exactly what you desire.
Additionally, I suggest seeking third-party opinions if you are still not entirely convinced. Sometimes, getting different perspectives can help you make a more informed decision.
It is crucial for us that our clients feel satisfied both at the beginning and at the completion of a job. Open and honest communication is key to achieving this, and we are here to ensure that your expectations are met and that you are content with our service.
