What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

1) Schedule a meeting to discuss the customer's goals and determine a scope of work. 2) Develop an approach to best accomplish the given scope of work. 3) Assemble a work-order or project-proposal with detailed pricing for the customer to review and hopefully accept. 4) When a work-order or project proposal is accepted and agreed upon by the customer, the work is then scheduled for completion.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

18 years of experience... Certified Professional Landscaper - Penn Foster Career School (2012) - 16 seasons a landscaper, mason, and landscape designer. - With a natural passion for landscapes & gardens... this is my career of choice.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

The daffodils poking up in spring when I was about 10 years old.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Mostly residential, from basic garden maintenance to extensive landscape design and construction projects.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

In early 2023 I designed, and then built my own backyard garden and nursery space. Since then I've enjoyed raising hundreds of perennials for my customers... as well as fruit, vegetables, and herbs for family and friends.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I recommend asking for a work-order or contract, which outlines the scope of work to be performed as well as a price not to be exceeded.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

1) What are the practical elements of my landscape and garden goals? 2) What are my aesthetic preferences within those goals. 3) Based on my plans, what are my budget considerations for this project? 4) How many separate quotes should I compare? 5) From which companies should I ask for quotes?
