Looking to have makeup done for a special event? Look no further! I’ve been in the makeup industry now for 8 years and it’s been a fun ride so far. Makeup is art. It’s expressive, it’s classic yet evolving, and it’s just so much fun! Some of my specialties include bridal makeup, event makeup, photoshoots, makeup lessons, film and television, and special effects. I pay very close attention to detail but I’m also a very punctual artist.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

It depends on the number of the party of people involved, the kind of makeup you’re looking to get done, and if there are any add ons you might be interested in like lashes, airbrush, jewels, etc.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically I ask about what kind of makeup they are interested in getting done, what kind of event they’re having or attending, and then go into discussing any accommodations if necessary.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a licensed esthetician and have also undergone several different makeup courses with some of the most influential people in the industry.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I actually started out as a beauty advisor at a makeup counter and had classes with brands like Anastasia, Urban Decay, Benefit Cosmetics, etc, and later on went to work with out her brands before working independently as a contractor.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I’ve worked with a variety of people like actors, models, brides, lawyers, and more.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Talk to the artist. Make sure they’re versatile and reliable but also be open to suggestions that might enhance the details you’re looking for.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Just have an idea of what you want your makeup to look like and then ask the professional for any feedback or ideas they could possibly provide to add on to enhance that effect.
