Introduction

Feel free to inquire through my website. My name is Topher - I provide furniture pickup and delivery services using my trusty pickup truck. I also provide a labor for hire service where we provide the physical labor for your move. Whether you're moving furniture across town or need a hand moving out of your 1 bedroom apartment, I've got you covered. My clock typically starts from when we dispatch from downtown until the job is over.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I charge $60 / hour per mover and a $30 truck fee if my pickup truck is used.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Understanding their moving details and needs so that I can make sure I am best prepared to get the job done professionally and efficiently. I believe communication is very important and I do my best at communicating with every client before and during every move.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
In 2019 I graduated with a bachelor of science degree in marketing. For 1.5 years I worked as a Territory Sales Manager for a moving company here in Charleston before doing my own thing.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started this because I am fortunate to own a pickup truck and I wanted to find a way to help folks in the area who are not able to move furniture themselves. Everyone needs it done, but not everyone has a way. I was also a Territory Sales Manager for a residential moving company here in Charleston, so I know the ins and outs of this industry.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All types: I’ve worked with clientele who live in apartment buildings and single-family homes downtown, Mount Pleasant, West Ashley, John’s Island, and Kiawah Island

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently helped a gentlemen move his heavy sleeper sofa couch for him to his new apartment in Mount Pleasant. I helped him move it out of his 7th floor apartment using the elevator, transported it on my pickup truck, and then carried it up 2 flights of stairs with him. He was very satisfied with the price and efficiency.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Is that provider reliable and affordable? Does the provider communicate well? Always check out their reviews and testimonials

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
How many movers does the pro have? How does the pro communicate with their clients?
