My name is Joshua Williams, owner of The Way MMA. I am Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, under Alfredo Barum. I started training at a professional level in 2002 in BJJ and MMA and have a 5-2 record in Pro MMA. I also have strong wrestling and kickboxing skills to pass on to students, having been a CIF runner up in high school wrestling, training in Tang Su Do from an early age, and continuing with MMA-tailored Mauy Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, Judo, etc. I can teach BJJ/grappling with the gi or without the gi.
I am a very patient teacher. I have taught adults, teens, and kids. I have worked in special education schools, and run after school programs. So, if you are looking for private instruction for your kids, I am well qualified for that also.
I have been certified as a personal trainer through ACE and have studied kinesilogy/exercise science, so I have a good level of knowledge of the human body.
