What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a NASM certified personal trainer and am a Performance Enhancement Specialst and have my CPR/AED certification.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I really started working out on my own when I was 25. I learned to love the process and the gym became therapy to me mentally and physically. I was looking for a career change in 2014 and found that I loved helping people learn how to work out. I decided to take a chance and make a business out of my years of experience. my love for teaching people movement has only grown over the years.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with young athletes, weight loss, competitors, people with injuries and surgeries, people with chronic back pain, elderly, and other special conditions. I can be very specific to just general strength training and wellness.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask lots of questions. Don't pick someone just based on looks or their physique. Someone may be able to get themselves in shape, but coaching is different. Genetics play a huge part in physique and every day leanness...don't choose someone because they have abs and a booty!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What do I want out of this experience other than weight loss? Does my trainer know how to properly coach movement? Am I committed to at least 3 months of training? Am I really ready for a change or am I looking for the easy path? Does my trainer know how to fix injuries and muscle imbalances?
