Introduction

I am able to teach students just beginning or who have experience on technique of guitar, vocal and piano. Lessons can also include instruction in music theory from beginning to advanced. I firmly believe that some understanding of theory is essential in order to be the best performer you can be. Please contact me here, and I will forward you my personal contact information.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
The customer should know that they will have a reliable teacher who is very much tuned into the individual needs and expectations of each student. That is the most important thing for me to stress. Everything is based on what and how much the student would like to explore and learn musically.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The most important thing to find out is what does the student want to achieve in the lesson they are taking. The lessons are built and revolve around each students unique individual needs and expectations.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have degrees in both music therapy and certifications in both instrumental and vocal music education as well as certification in elementary education.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I found out when I was 12 that I had a talent for music by taking lessons for the summer and have stuck with it ever since. You never know unless you try.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I was able to take a middle/high school band that was playing way below their level and in 1 year got them near the level they needed to be at to really compete in the festivals they wanted to

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be patient and put the time in to see if this is really for you. and keep in mind that music like any other art is a journey not just a one time occurrence. Never be afraid to learn something new but also be prepared to put the time in. It doesn't happen in a week a month or a year but in a lifetime..

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
If you are serious about it the work isn't all fun and games but the payoff through personal satisfaction and accomplishment makes up for it.
