What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically a potential guest will reach out to me in search of massage therapy. I'll reply by finding out what type of massage service they would like, their budget, and from there we can schedule a time for their service to happen. As each client is different, each scenario is different. Some people know when they want their massage and that's easy as I can book for them or I can give them a link to schedule. In other instances it can be more complicated depending upon the number of guests needing service, the number of therapists required to complete the job, and even distance to get to the job. I pride myself on not only being a great therapist, but also effective in communicating with guests to find out their massage needs and goals, and taking care of them from there.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been certified as a massage therapist since 2002 from the Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences

How did you get started doing this type of work?

The school I eventually attended, Blue Heron Academy, would offer free massages in my community when I was younger. At the time, I was playing high school football, and I could really tell the difference in my recovery time from weeks where I got massages versus weeks when I didn't. I was hooked.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with a diverse group of clients ranging from senior citizens, athletes, handicapped individuals, spa clients, bacholerette parties, other massage therapists to the everyday person looking to ease tense muscles.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If this is something you are looking to make a part of your health and wellness visit several other therapists, and than try me out. You will be able to palpably feel the difference.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

I would encourage people to think about their massage goals. Some people may be looking to relax or enjoy an occasion, while others need the therapeutic benefits to combat pain or chronic conditions. These are not mutually exclusive, but can help to ensure that I put forth the best plan for your needs.
