Introduction

Passionate about dance and drawn to the water, I find joy in embracing movement and connecting with nature. I strongly believe that children bring us into the present moment and should always be treated with the utmost respect as fellow human beings. While I love engaging in conversations, my cancer rising sign reminds me to maintain balance and take time to recharge. I have an unwavering commitment to offering help and being a compassionate friend to everyone I encounter. As a 200-hour certified vinyasa yoga instructor with additional training exceeding 300 hours, I possess a diverse range of accreditations. My expertise extends to trauma-based yoga, yin yoga, restorative yoga, meditation, Yoga Nidra, and kids yoga. With my comprehensive skill set, I aim to create transformative experiences for my students on and off the mat. For over two decades, I have maintained CPR, first aid, and AED certifications for both children and adults. Furthermore, I have completed mental health first aid courses that equip me to provide support to individuals from all walks of life. Alongside my dedication to wellness, I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the esteemed University of Arizona. Currently, I devote my time to teaching yoga, nurturing my passion project Wednesday's Child, an inclusive thrift store, and tending to The Original Witch Shop, a spiritual store. When I'm not actively pursuing my various endeavors, you'll often find me expanding my knowledge or exploring the great outdoors. Known for my gentle and empathetic nature, I specialize in assisting others in finding their roots and establishing a strong foundation. I am eager to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations to create meaningful experiences together. Let's connect and explore the possibilities soon. xx janet

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My starting rate for a private session is $111 per hour, and I charge a little extra for additional participants. For a group class (5 or more), my fee is $222 per hour. I'm pleased to offer a discount for those interested in a package deal. Additionally, for those in need, I am happy to provide a sliding scale rate. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
My goal is to understand your needs and tailor each session to incorporate yoga and meditation practices that cater specifically to your desires.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My educational background focuses heavily on the psychological aspect of yoga, as I believe that the connection between the mind and body through breath is incredibly therapeutic. In terms of yoga practices, I am well-versed in various forms, including meditation, yin, nidra, trauma-based yoga, kids yoga, vinyasa, and restorative yoga. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in sociology, and I am certified in mental health first aid for adults and youth. Furthermore, I am CPR and first aid certified for all ages.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My mother has been practicing yoga since her teenage years and has always had a strong interest in the metaphysical and healing realms. As she lost her mother at a young age, this community provided her with a sense of comfort and belonging. While I was raised in this environment, I went through a rebellious phase during my teenage years where I rejected anything related to my family's practices. However, I eventually found my way back to this world and realized that I was always meant to be a part of it. In essence, I was born into it and felt a natural calling towards it.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Throughout my experience, I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of individuals, including children, power flow athletes, heart attack survivors, and beginners. I have worked with humans of all ages, shapes, sizes, and physical conditions.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I launched my online thrift store, **************************, after a year of building up the courage to do so. Looking back, I realize that I had been unknowingly working towards this venture since my teenage years. It feels like destiny that I have created this platform.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When choosing a yoga instructor, prioritize someone who is honest and authentic, rather than just having impressive credentials on paper. It's important to have a genuine yogic experience, rather than just a good workout. Trust me, it has the potential to be a life-changing experience.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What they genuinely want + need!
