What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
In addition to my Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Appalachian State University and J.D. from Georgia State College of Law, I also served in the United States Army as an infantryman and was a nationally ranked wrestler at the NCAA Division I level. This diverse background has provided me with the discipline, attention to detail, and strategic thinking skills necessary to effectively serve my clients in the fields of Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Probate Litigation. Furthermore, I consistently exceed the continuing education requirements set by the State Bar of Georgia to stay current on changes and updates to the law, ensuring that my clients receive the highest quality of legal representation.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I got started in this type of work because I have always been interested in helping people and making a positive impact on their lives. After completing my Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Appalachian State University in NC, I went on to obtain my J.D. from Georgia State College of Law, graduating Cum Laude. My experience in the US Army Infantry, former NCAA D1 wrestling, and my work in various legal settings have provided me with valuable skills and knowledge that I utilize to provide exceptional legal services to my clients. I continue to exceed the continuing education requirements for the State Bar of Georgia to ensure that I am always up-to-date with the latest developments in the law.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
As an attorney, I have worked with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, families, and businesses. I have helped clients from all walks of life navigate legal issues related to estate planning, elder law, probate litigation, Medicaid and Medicare, and more. Whether my clients are seeking to protect their assets, plan for their futures, or resolve disputes, I am committed to providing personalized legal services tailored to their unique needs and goals.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
As an attorney, I am not at liberty to discuss specific client matters publicly. However, I can tell you that I recently worked on a complex estate planning case that required significant attention to detail and creative solutions to address the client's unique needs. It was a challenging project, but ultimately very rewarding to see the client's objectives achieved. The project took several weeks to complete, but the end result was well worth the time and effort invested.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
As an attorney, my advice for anyone looking to hire a provider in my area of work is to do their research. Look for an attorney with experience and a good reputation in the field. It's also important to choose someone who is a good communicator and who takes the time to listen to your needs and concerns. Don't be afraid to ask for references or to schedule a consultation to get a feel for the attorney's approach and style. And always make sure you understand the terms of the engagement before signing a contract.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
As an attorney, I recommend that customers think through their goals and objectives for the project, as well as any specific concerns or challenges they may have. Customers should also consider their budget and timeline for the project, and any legal or regulatory requirements that may impact their goals. It can also be helpful to think through any potential questions or issues that may arise during the project, so that they can be addressed proactively. By taking the time to think through these factors, customers can have a more productive and effective conversation with professionals about their project.
