Ynot Build is a Class A Licensed Contractor, we are an RBC residential building contractor, Class A Licensed CBC commercial building contractor and are certified to build ICF insulated concrete forms homes anywhere in Virginia! Fully insured with extensive knowledge in kitchen, bath and general remodeling experience!

Ynot Build started over 30 years ago building custom dream homes in Virginia Beach. After large National Builders started buying up all the land and encroaching on green space, we restructured our philosophies and started offering remodeling and refreshing our customers' existing homes to create new flex space, updating kitchens and bathrooms, ensuites and anything you can dream up!

Ynot Build works with a variety of clients. From customers looking for a simple small room addition or a detached garage, to just refreshing the exterior of your home or building a new state of the art kitchen or bathroom, we work with everyone. Ynot Build recently completed a fantastic kitchen remodel in Virginia Beach that transformed the way the entire home functioned. We opened up walls to the entire first floor, installed beautiful new full view windows facing the oceanfront that brightened up the entire space. With the removal of a few load bearing walls and all new LVP floors throughout, this kitchen took us 3 months to complete. That includes several weeks of meeting with our in-house Interior Design team and visiting several design centers to make selections. Pictures are on our profile, please take a look!

Ynot Build would advise our potential clients to do some research on trending interior designs. Design trends come and go at times so quickly it is important to get a variety of perspectives, visit local design centers and showrooms and start getting a feel for your specific tastes. Our team will take your ideas and make them a reality!

Many things to consider once you start talking together at home about remodeling any room in your home. Most builders will ask for a budget, look at finances and speak to your lenders. Come up with a must have budget and a value engineered budget, construction on most homes will have a few un-foreseen surprises that could add to costs. Be prepared financially to make adjustments to your budget, it may cost not updating that laundry room to get that magical updated Ensuite. Organize your remodel project with files and all the back-and-forth emails to cover your basis. Remodeling doesn't have to be scary if your prepared and well versed in a few construction terms when communicating with trades and suppliers, self-educate and the process will be less stressful!
