I am a retired English teacher, and I have been tutoring since 2009. I enjoy helping students succeed and achieve their goals. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge $30 an hour for writing and editing and $40 an hour for online tutoring.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First, I communicate with you to determine what help you need. For tutoring, I use pretests to determine what skills need to be improved. I edit papers using the MS Word Review function to provide detailed markups and comments. I focus on helping students succeed.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BA in English Education, an MS in Reading Education, and a BS in Computer Systems

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started tutoring and editing full-time after retiring from teaching in 2009.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I work with college students on essays, research papers, theses, dissertations, and online classes. I write and edit books, essays, research papers, theses, and dissertations. I help students from middle school through high school improve reading, writing, and test-taking skills.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I worked with two different doctorate students for two years on their dissertations. They successfully completed their documents and obtained their PhDs. I also helped three writers complete manuscripts, and they got their books successfully published.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be sure the provider has experience in the type of help you are looking for and is able to provide references.
