What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

The fist introductory session is free and lasts about 30 minutes.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I want to listen to both sides and help them get to the real issues - not just the most recent fight. I also want both parties to agree to work on themselves rather than focus on trying to change the other person.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

4 year bachelor degree. 45 years of experience.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Having gone through our own personal struggles in our early years, I began to apply the principles we learned by helping some friends. We are now celebrating our 55th anniversary and more in love than ever.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Premarital counseling, newlyweds, and seniors as well as those living together.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I counseled a couple that had been married for 19 years, most of which were unhappy. They were about to divorce but were willing to give it one more try. After meeting with them weekly for 3 months, they told me that they never been happier.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Look for a counselor who not only listens impartially to both sides but then gives both sides feedback and practical guidance to resolve the issues.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Marital problems are rarely just one person’s fault. Are they willing to do their part and address their issues. If both change their behavior, the relationship will also change.
