Introduction

I'm a Thumbtack "TOP PRO" with over 40 years of experience. I perform at birthdays, businesses, banquets, bar mitzvahs, baby showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties, brunches, balls, BBQs and all other bashes. Additionally, I entertain in restaurants, clubs and at weddings. When you have a date, time and number of guests, contact me. Please read my 80+ Five-Star reviews on this site! Recent shows include a Halloween party for a well-known winery, a college graduation party, a company banquet, a bachelorette party, a 4th of July picnic, a retirement party, a customer appreciation party, a Grand Opening and a black-tie New Years Eve party. I also perform at receptions where I do an hour before or after dinner. Guests really enjoy my close-up, sleight-of-hand magic and you'll love it too as I don't require any special set-up. Indoors or outdoors, my act is self-contained and suitable for ALL ages. My Trade Show and Restaurant experience is extensive. I've performed in NYC and the San Francisco Bay area for over 30 years. Additionally, I was a warm-up act at the original Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve and Super Bowl Sunday. I love entertaining and it shows. My performance is truly unique. It's interactive and everyone gets a chance to participate. Audiences really enjoy my 2 for 1 show which features both Stand-Up and Sleight-of-Hand Magic. I'm your best entertainment value and you won't find a better deal. Please know that I work on a first-come, first-served basis so don't wait. Book your show now to save the event time and date. Finally, I'm taking my show on-the-road. Thanks for choosing Magic by Mark in the NE for the last 5 years. I'm now entertaining in and around Las Vegas, NV.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
It's simple. One price per hour. If you require more time, you get a discount per hour, per day. I frequently have repeat business and recently gave a client a half-price deal for a multiple-day event.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
When I bid on your event, please call me to discuss the details. My act has been refined over a 40-year period and is suitable for all ages and groups. Please let me know what you're looking for and I'll tailor my act to your meet ALL of your needs. Thank you for choosing Magic by Mark and I hope to "appear" at your event in the near future.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
As a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, I am well-versed in the latest illusions and change my routine frequently to keep up-to-date. I've recently returned from a week-long magic convention where I acquired some new illusions from several of the top magic suppliers in the world. I've been awarded "Order of Merlin-Shield" for my magic service.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Entertaining my family and our friends. When I was 12, I began performing birthday shows in my neighborhood and by age 16 was a full-time magician at Six Flags Over Mid-America. I've been performing continuously since 1981 and am constantly updating my act.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Birthdays, cocktail parties, BBQs, trade shows and corporate events. I do many restaurant and club gigs. I did a great deal of work in NYC and even some Las Vegas dates before taking my act to CA and then, CT where I was the "House Magician" at the Yacht Club in Stamford. I've now left the East Coast and live/work in Las Vegas, NV. Call me to save your time/date and to book your show.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I enjoy working at restaurants on Sundays during "Family Nights." Having worked at many big events in the past, I was very honored to be asked to perform by AB at their largest, 3-day, invitation-only Super Bowl event. Additionally, I performed at the Holiday party of one of the nation's largest airlines. My off-site event for the world's largest tech company, a Halloween party for a well-known winery and a wedding reception for over 200 guests are a few of many events I've done recently.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Choose a "TOP PRO" from this site. Anyone without at least 5 years of experience is still learning the craft. I've been performing continuously for over 40 years. My act has proven to be entertaining for ALL audiences. I'm G-Rated and use no smoke or fire in my act. Finally, my price includes my transportation and production costs. There are NO hidden fees.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
If you want a magician, I'm your man. If you want a juggler, clown or balloon twister, I may not be the one for you. I work well with other entertainers but my expertise is magic for ALL audiences. Call today to discuss your event.
