Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My base fee for to officiate a wedding is $175. Additional fees will be charged for travel outside of my local area and to attend rehearsals.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to set up a visit or a phone call to be able to talk to my customers so the ceremony I perform is what they want and suited to their tastes.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am an ordained minister/wedding officiant.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I love people and their stories. I also love happy times and being a part of happy and special days. In 2015 I made the decision to become ordained and I simply love it.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with so many different types of customers! Weddings are always so special but I also very much enjoy vow renewals. It is very rewarding after visiting with couples to end up with a ceremony tailored to them and that is unique.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I am fond of them all. All ceremonies are different in their own special way.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Take some time to think what you'd like your ceremony to be.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Do you want your ceremony to be Christian based with references to God and a prayer? Would you prefer it not to mention religion? Do you want details of yourselves, how you met, etc. in the ceremony. Will you be doing a sand ceremony or unity candle? All those things assist me in writing the ceremony out. I also am sure to ask all those questions as I know it can be hard to think of them during your special time.
